"Let’s tell the fundamental truth that the Obama Administration conceals from the people. The so-called Islamic State or ISIS wouldn’t exist today as a major force either in Syria or Iraq except for the U.S. military aggression that smashed the secular, nationalist governments in Iraq in 2003 and Libya in 2011 followed by its catastrophic support for the armed opposition against the similarly organized government in Syria."
ANSWER Coalition statement on the U.S. bombing of Syria / The ANSWER Coalition is calling for demonstrations to oppose the bombing of Syria and Iraq from September 23 through September 28
"It’s difficult to follow your dream. It’s a tragedy not to."
Anti-fascists & supporters of the Donbass People’s Republics staged a counter-protest against liberal-social democratic “march for peace” in Moscow, September 21, 2014.
The organizers of the “peace march” condemn the people’s militias and Russia’s role in opposing the neoliberal/fascist regime in Ukraine. Counter-protesters dubbed it “the march of traitors.”
At the gathering point at Pushkin Square, a banner hung from a building read, “March of Traitors.” The Initiative Group of Moscow Students made the banner drop.
Valery Petukhov, one of the members of the art group, commented on the action: “On our poster we depict faces familiar to all fans of the Kiev junta and patrons of these marches: Andrei Makarevich, Boris Nemtsov, Dmitry Bykov, Tatiana Ulitskaja, Evgeny Chirikov and Lev Ponomarev. Leading to their heads are pipes from Washington, and the icon of the brain is crossed out. This is not surprising. Consciously or not, accusing Russia of all the troubles in the Ukraine and supporting the Kiev junta in the killing of inhabitants of Donbass, the whole company operates in the interests of the United States.”
